Here at Hearing Associates of Dothan, LLC, we have two Doctors of Audiology, Dr. Shumaker and Dr. Wilkes, who genuinely care about the success of their patients and always strive to do what is in the best interest of their patients. We offer hearing healthcare for pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics in a professional and caring environment.
As an audiology private practice we are able to set our own schedule and structure our days to best meet the needs of each individual patient. We believe in spending as much time as necessary with our patients to not only educate them regarding their hearing loss, but to also learn about their listening concerns, lifestyles, and activities in an effort to help them make a well-informed decision about their hearing.
We offer a variety of services, some of which include comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid sales, repairs, fittings, and adjustments for six different hearing aid manufacturers. Additional services can be found on our website.

You don't have to live with hearing loss
Hearing loss is common and happens to most people as they age and there are numerous factors that influence the extent to which hearing loss occurs. Not only is a loss of hearing a result of the natural aging process, but exposure to loud noises, infections, medications, and head trauma can also lead to a decline in a person's hearing.
Today, hearing aids are so small they are virtually invisible. Also, digital hearing aids are programmed to only amplify the frequency range where the hearing loss is present.
In addition to wearing hearing aids, there are other forms of assisted listening technology available. Personal assisted listening devices, amplified telephones, FM systems, and special smoke detectors are all options available at our office.
